Born in Bologna in the creative ferment of the early nineties, the DAMS and squats, and from there left for a career that has brought them on stages all over Italy, Massimo Volume is one of the most important and beloved of a generation that gave us the Afterhours, Marlene Kuntz and Subsonica. The last able to speak a language very original, unprecedented meeting of rock sounds and avant-garde literary breath. Last capable of changing lives seriously, thanks to the evocative power of stories and the intensity of the sound. They were boys of the province but they seemed to aliens arriving from another world, while far away and very familiar. Historical remains and their four basic (for now) album: the room, along the edges, and Club Here Private room. Everything here is the first book ever written on full volume. The result of a long process of interviews and research, is a story told directly by those who were there, by group members past and present, friends, associates, colleagues, professionals. A reconstruction of choral public affairs, personal histories, conflicts, successes and failures. Until the dissolution was announced in 2002, and the reunion of 2008, initially and then occasionally took the form a new band, a live album and a new album.
